What we believe

You are here

We believe in the entirety of the Bible as the Word of God; however there are specific aspects of the Bible that we specifically lay emphasis on and we have tagged these as ‘What We Believe’. These include:

  1. We believe the Bible in its entirety to be the inspired Word of God and the infallible rule of faith and conduct.(2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21)
  2. We believe in Trinity of the Godhead – Father, Son and the Holy Spirit, Creator of all things(I John 5:8;Genesis 1:1)
  3. We believe in one God; and Father of all who has revealed Himself fully to mankind through His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ(I Tim.2:5)
  4. The Deity and Lordship of Jesus Christ as revealed in the Holy Scriptures(John 10:30)
  5. The personality and Deity of the Holy Spirit(John 14:16-17)
  6. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, was crucified, died, was buried, was resurrected, ascended into heaven, and is now seated at the right hand of God the Father and is true God and true man.
  7. The utter depravity of the whole human nature and the guilt of all mankind since the fall through the deceit of the devil thereby rendering mankind subject to God’s wrath and condemnation(Rom.3:23)
  8. The substitutionary sacrifice for sin through the blood of Jesus Christ the incarnate Son of God(Heb.9:14)
  9. We believe in personal salvation of believers through the shed blood of Jesus Christ and the full salvation by grace through faith in Christ Jesus alone by means of which one is born again(Eph.2:8-9;Rom.10:9-10)
  10. We believe in water baptism, in the Baptism in the Holy Spirit as distinct from the New Birth, in speaking with tongues as the Spirit of God gives utterance, in the gifts of the Spirit, and the evidence of the fruit of the Spirit. We believe that all of these are available to believers. (Matt.3:13-15;Mark 16:15-18;Acts 2:1-4;ICor.12:6-11;Gal.5:19-22)
  11. We believe in divine healing, through faith in the Name of Jesus Christ, and that healing is included in the Redemption.(Isaiah 53:4-5;Ipet.2:24)
  12. We believe in sanctification through the Word of God and by the Holy Spirit, and we believe in personal holiness, purity of heart and life.(John 17:17;IPet. 1:15-16)
  13. Orderliness and comportment in public worship as motivated by the Holy Spirit(I Cor.14:32-33)
  14. Ministration through the laying on of hands subject to sound scriptural guidance whereby opportunities are opened to believers to enjoy divine healing and health(Matt.16:18,James 5:14-15)
  15. The Holy Communion(the Lord’s Supper) in obedience to our Lord’s commandment(II Cor.20-30)
  16. We believe in giving of Tithes and free-will offering as God’s financial plan for financial prosperity for the Church(Mal 3:10-12, Luke 6:38)
  17. Corporate and 1-to-1 personal evangelism as an expression of God’s love to the world and in obedience to the Lord’s commandments(Matt 28:19-20;II Cor.5:19)
  18. We believe in the resurrection of the dead, the eternal happiness of the saved, and the eternal punishment of the lost.(Rev.20:13-15)
  19. We believe in the Christian's hope-the soon-coming, personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ
